Dinner with parents

Since Larry has to work late most nights, it's hard to get together for dinner with my parents. So you can imagine how excited they were to find out we could finally make it. Larry will probably work late the night before and go in early that day. But just look at them. They are so happy. It makes it all worth it.

Hurricane wine bottle

Another idea from a catalog. I was pretty impressed with myself after cutting off the bottom of the wine bottle with a perfect edge the first time!! I avoided breaking the bottle and managed not to spray my face with shards of glass :) They wanted $79 for this and I made it for $10 (we enjoy cheap wine).

Need an apron to cook for two

After many attempts and ripping of seams I was excited with the final product!! I snatched the idea from a magazine so I didn't have a pattern to follow. I guess I enjoy the challenge. I also had plenty of time to experiment with it while Larry was playing Call of Duty.

Our beautiful baby boys

Hutson and Higgins are the fluffy little guys we share our home with. Hutson is almost 7 and Higgins is almost 5. Larry likes Higgins better, but both of them are the sunshine in my day! There is nothing greater than unconditional love.

Our very first blog!!

October 3rd, 2009 was one of the best days of my life. Larry and I were married at St. Luke's United Methodist church at 7 o'clock in the evening. The ceremony was followed by our reception at Ouisie's Table. There was rain on the outside but a beautiful wedding going on inside. Every day I give thanks to God for blessing me with such an amazing husband. And I get to spend the rest of my life with him!!
